How to Use

Surface Preparation 1
  • For pitted surfaces, carefully sand and level using medium/course grit paper (400-600) to maximize smoothness and flatness.
  • Remove any contamination with SCUDOPICKLING 100AB solvent cleaner, especially for metal surfaces.
Primer Application 2
  • Apply TUTTOPRIMER IC100B (100%) + TUTTOCATALYST IC80 (80%) mix ratio 5:4 using an HLVP spray gun (or normal spray gun) with nozzles 1.2-1.3 mm at a nozzle pressure of 1.50 bar (217.5 psi).
  • Shake well before use. Let it dry at 60°-70°C for 70 minutes, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes at ambient temperature (20-25°C) for 12-24 hours. Ensure drying in a clean, dust-free environment and avoid touching coated surfaces.
Chrome Application 3
  • Shake well the 1K TUTTOCHROMAME STD TC20 before pouring it into the HLVP spray gun.
  • Use nozzles sized 1-1.2/1.3 mm at a nozzle pressure of 1.50 bar.
  • Apply three layers of TUTTOCHROME with crossed strokes until the surface is completely covered. Recommended spraying from bottom to top and then cross left to right.
  • Let it dry at 60°-70°C for 70 minutes. For optimal results, attend at ambient temperature for 24 hours. The longer the solvents evaporate, the higher the reflectivity (up to 90%-95% spherical reflectivity).
Top Coat Step 4
  • Apply CLEARTOP MT300 (100%) + CLEARCATALYST MT936 (40%) mix ratio 5:2 with an HLVP spray gun (or normal spray gun) with nozzles 1.2-1.3 mm at a nozzle pressure of 150 bar (2175 psi).
  • If special coloring is required, add CME Pigments to CLEARTOP MT300 (100%) + CLEARCATALYST MT936 (40%) according to the specified mix ratio % for each CME Pigment on the bottle label.
  • Let it dry at 60°-70°C for 1 hour or at room temperature for 12-24 hours. The product can be handled and packaged after 3 hours. Always apply a second layer of CLEARTOP MT300 (100%) + CLEARCATALYST MT936 (40%) after color coating for a high-quality, glossy, and durable finish.
SURFACE PREPARATION 1
  • Remove any contamination that could interfere with the top coating adhesion.
  • Prior to applying ScudoChromame 602FX Flextop it is advisable to thoroughly clean the plastic surface with the special solvent SCUDOPICKLING 52MT.
  • It can be applied directly to a well prepared surface that has been sanded to a perfectly flat, fine uniform finish and perfectly clean and dry.
CATALYSER (Hardner) 2
  • SCUDOCHROMAME 5Q2MT IS A 2K PRODUCT
  • Mix Cathalysed ratio 5:2 SCUDOCHROMAME 602FX (100%)+ SCUDOCATALYST 52MT (40%) Shake well before use.
APPLICATION METHODS 3
  • Brush; Roller HVLP Airless spray gun - only PROFESSIONAL USE
  • Respect a 5- 10 minutes interval between each coat.
  • Nozzle tip 1,3-1,5 mm Pressure at nozzle (minimum) 300 bar/4351 psi
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT 4
  • 6D2MT should be applied in a clean temperature and humidity controlled environment.
  • Recommended conditions for application are 20 - 25°C (68 - 77°F) and 30 - 60% relative humidity.
Coverage 5
  • 5 to 6 sqm per 1 [ tin of SCUDOCHROP4AP4E 602FX One Tin will cover up to 5 sqm in one coat.
  • For best results apply two coats which gives an average coverage of 2 to 3 sgm depending on surface condition and application.
DRYING & CURING TIME 6
  • Drying and curing times are determined under controlled temperatures and relative humidity below 85 %, and at average of the DFT range for the product.
  • Pot life after catalyzer mixing is max 2 hours
  • Temperature limit during application: MIN 1D"C - P4AX 40"C. Allow product to cure thoroughly before applying the next layer. Product must be perfectly dry before exposure to fog, rain or frost.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS 7
  • Packaging. Tin cans 1 kg ; 5kg ; 20 kg
  • Shelf life. Storage temperature min 3°C max 40°C - keep away from direct sunlight
  • Product Stability. SCUDOCHROMAME 502MT 5 years in original package SCUDOCATALYST 22AF 3 years in original package
  • Safety Instructions. Read MSDS Material safety data sheet carefully before using products.
SURFACE PREPARATION 1
  • Remove any contamination that could interfere with the adhesion by solvent cleaner MET (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) /alchool
  • In case of pitted surface carefully sand and levigate by medium /course grit paper (400-600) for maximising smoothness and flatness
  • Mask the parts not to be chromed by non absorbing paper or tape.
PRIMER 2
  • Uniformly apply cathalysed PRIMER IC100B(100%)+ TUTTOCATALYST IC80 (80%) (shake well) with a HLVP spray gun
  • Let dry at 60° -70° C for 70 min oror optimal results it is recomend to let the parts rest at ambient temperature for 12 hours
  • Allow curing in clean ambient (dust less) and never touch the coated surfaces. The surface must be perfectly plain and glossy.
CHROME 3
  • Shake well the TUTTOCHROMAME STD TC20 before pouring it into the HLVP spray gun (pressure 1 bar, nozzle 1-1,2/1,3 mm, to have a reduces flow of product).
  • Apply 3 layers of SUPACHROME with crossed strokes, until the surface is completely covered. It is reccomend to spray from bottom to top direction
  • Let dry at 60° -70° C for 70 min , for optimal results it is recomend attend at ambient temperature for 24 hours . The more time the solvents have to evoporate the higher will the reflectivity will be (it can reach 95%- 98% spherical refectivity).
TOP COAT 4
  • Apply CERAMIC TOP COAT CLEARTOP MT300(100%) + CATALYST MT439 (50%) with normal spray gun
  • If special coloring is required CME Pigments are to be added to CERAMIC TOP COAT CLEARTOP MT300(100%) + CATALYST MT439 (50%) according to the Mix ratio % specified for each pigment on the bottle label.
  • Let dry at 60° -70° C for 1,5 hour , The product can be handeld and packaged/ wrapped after 3 hours.
  • It is advisible to apply a second layer of CERAMIC TOP COAT CLEARTOP MT300(100%) + CATALYST MT439 (50%) after color coating for a high quality gloosy and durabale finish.

  • In pre pre-sales phase the customer will visit ChromaMe® Air and Surface Nano Tech Demonstration Labs in Italy and attend a free sampling demonstration session.
  • In the post sales phase the customers technical staff will be hosted at ChromaMe® Air and Surface Nano Tech Demo Labs and will attend a 3 day Special Starter Course.
  • The customer will receive a direct training on the job on how to use the products, learn which applications are possible and , how to avoid misuse of products

Results demonstrate increase in corrosion protection ( test with MEK MetilEtilCheton solvent ) abrasion and scratch resistance, UV light resistance while maintaining PlataChromaMe reflectivity close to 98%. The product is also successfully proved as a permanent antifouling for boat hulls.
